This role will serve as a key member of Capital Edge’s leadership team and is responsible for setting out strategies and implementing programs across all aspects of the talent management cycle in order to sustain our family culture as a competitive advantage. Leveraging strong agility to both craft the strategy and roll up sleeves to implement, the role will also provide forward-thinking expertise and guidance on all human resource questions and issues while partnering closely with leaders, peers and staff to ensure a compelling employee experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities for this position have been organized into three main areas:
Talent Management

  • Work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and execute talent strategies that effectively support and enhance the overall business strategy.
  • Build and drive execution of a Talent Management strategy.
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing talent processes and programs.
  • Design, direct and implement talent management solutions including acquisition, onboarding, development, and succession planning.
  • Design and monitor analytics and metrics to measure program impact and effectiveness.
  • Develop results-driven performance management tools and processes that integrate with the organization’s values.
  • Partner and manage external HR and Talent Management vendor relationships.
  • Continuously stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices.

Workplace Culture

  • Develop, direct and monitor strategies and initiatives aimed at fostering a healthy workplace culture of accountability, trust, recognition, and results.
  • Proactively and effectively address aspects of workplace culture that impede organizational and individual effectiveness.

Human Resources

  • Advises the leadership team, managers and staff on the full range of HR questions and issues.
  • Designs and implements new or improved HR programs, policies, and processes to benefit the organization and mitigate risk.
  • Assess the need and options for HR vendors, systems and technologies.
  • In partnership with outside counsel, directs compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local employment laws including, but not limited to EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ERISA, OSHA, ACA, workers’ compensation, etc.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the design, implementation and leadership of Talent Management, HR and Organizational Development efforts.
  • BS/BA required; HR, OD, IO, Business or similar Master’s degree preferred; PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Deltek Human Capital Management (HCM), Deltek Time & Expense, and the People module of Deltek Costpoint.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment.
  • Proven success delivering strategic initiatives and process excellence across a range of Talent Management and HR cycle functions, including strategy, onboarding, culture assessment, change management, employee development and retention, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • temperament, mindset and interpersonal agility to build strong trusting relationships across all levels of the firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into effective strategies and initiatives.
  • Ability to challenge current norms and drive change through collaboration and partnership.
  • Highly organized with the agility to track and deliver on multiple simultaneous priorities.

The Senior Costpoint Consultant is primarily responsible for architecting and designing Costpoint accounting and finance solutions. aligned with client objectives for government contract clients. Examples of clients include service providers, non-profits, research institutions, and manufacturers. The role is focused on identifying and implementing leading government contracting best practices for accounting & finance in conjunction with Capital Edge compliance leads, client and third-party technical support.

This position will provide design expertise for new implementations and execute analysis of existing systems to advise on best practices to optimize system usage while supporting contractual and regulatory reporting and compliance requirements. The Senior Costpoint Consultant will be expected to bring an understanding of government contracting requirements and Costpoint capabilities to work directly with clients and client systems to identify and implement exceptional solutions.

  • Identify client weaknesses, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Formulate client driven solutions based on regulations, client business needs, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Work effectively both independently and in a team environment, remote or in-person, depending on the needs of the business and client(s).
  • Drive the client experience to develop and report on key metrics.
  • Determine and make appropriate tradeoffs to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop and communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to senior executive leadership.
  • Lead, direct, influence and exercise extensive business knowledge and expertise to evaluate and resolve significant business issues pertinent to key projects.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Subject matter expert in Costpoint Accounting and Projects modules with a strong understanding of the PAO pillars in Costpoint to effectively design and build PAO structures from inception, including indirect rate structures/pool setup
  • Excel in the functional daily uses in Costpoint as it relates to transactions, billing, revenue, and anticipate downstream effects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field plus 8 years Costpoint-related experience
  • Solid foundational knowledge of FAR, DFAR, CAS, and DFARs Business Systems
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to build a strong rapport
  • Confidence to lead diverse teams through ambiguous and new situations
  • Curiosity and self-motivation to learn new practices and skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Executive presence with ability to engage effectively at the C-suite level
  • Desired but not critical:
    • An understanding of the Materials Module as it relates to materials accounting, inventory abbrevs., and material burdening
    • Basic understanding of Costpoint Planning module

The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Manager is primarily responsible for ERP assessment, procurement, and implementation lifecycle program management for government contract clients. Examples of clients include service providers, non-profits, research institutions, and manufacturers. This position will drive complex multi-disciplinary projects, report to client leadership and provide project visibility/transparency, advise on, and collect business and systems requirements from stakeholders, while working closely with business partners and system integrators, and driving project schedules from design to release in an agile environment.

  • Collect information about the client’s business through a variety of methods (Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, interviews, reviewing policies & procedures, etc.).
  • Assist with identifying client weaknesses, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Formulate client driven solutions based on regulations, client business needs, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Create concise and informed reports and presentations.
  • Work effectively both independently and in a team environment, remote or in-person, depending on the needs of the business and client(s).
  • Drive the client experience to develop and report on key metrics. Determine and make appropriate tradeoffs to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop and communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to senior executive leadership.

  • Create concise and informed reports and presentations.
  • Review policies and procedures against business system requirements to identify potential gaps.
  • Assist with both high level and in-depth reviews of business practices and develop recommendations and implement Corrective Action Plans to drive change and address areas of concern.
  • Effectively interface with individuals at all levels from peers to top executives in client organizations.
  • Provide direction and guidance to other project team members as needed.
  • Monitor assigned tasks and provide Project Manager(s) with clear and accurate project status when requested.
  • Work effectively both independently and in a team environment, remote or in-person, depending on the needs of the business and client(s).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant and increasingly responsible government contract regulatory compliance experience working in an Accounting, Consulting, Government Contracting or US Government role
