As a Senior Manager with Capital Edge, Kimberly specializes in U.S. Government contract and subcontract management, purchasing and estimating system compliance and process optimization. Kimberly has over 30 years of experience working in contract and procurement operations and compliance roles with U.S. government contractors. Kimberly’s expertise includes bridging the contracts and procurement functions to maximize communication, efficiency and compliance. She has extensive experience in proposal development and contract negotiations, domestic and international subcontract negotiations and administration, supply chain risk management, and purchasing system compliance.
During her career, Kimberly served in progressive contracting and acquisition roles within industry. Prior to joining Capital Edge, she was the Senior Director, Contracts & Procurement Operations for a large aerospace company. In this executive position, she excelled, in part, by possessing the ability to both identify critical compliance deficiencies and then creating the sustainable organizational solutions to overcome those challenges. Her experience covers contract compliance, proposal compliance, procurement compliance, small business, price/cost analysis, single source justifications, commerciality determinations and assertions, competitive sourcing, and business process improvement. Kimberly has developed and led in-person and virtual training in proposals, contracts, and procurement. She led and executed her former employer’s last two Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) to successful outcomes.
In addition, Kimberly supported accounting, estimating and property management system as well as proposal and post-award audits conducted by the Defense Contract Audit Agency and DCMA. She also was responsible for leading all supply chain-related negotiations on the corporation’s behalf with federal customers. Finally, she served as the primary corporate interface with the United States Air Force’s Contracting Innovation Group.
Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Master’s in International Business from the University of San Diego. She also completed the University of California Los Angeles Anderson Graduate School of Management’s Advanced Management Program.
